More Sally Hawkins

Okay, she didn't get nominated for an Oscar. (F*ck you, Academy). But she's on to bigger and better things. Sally Hawkins is rumored to be signing on to a new flick called We Want Sex, the story of a bunch of female auto industry works who went on strike in 1968 to protest sexual discrimination in the workplace. Rumor is Imelda Staunton (the fabulous star of Vera Drake, also a Mike Leigh film) is also in negotations. F you, Oscars! Can't wait to see what she's up to next.

Imelda Staunton is, if I am not mistaken, also the Nurse in the Zefirelli Romeo and Juliet (the movie that saved my poor Los Angeles-exiled youth), as well as the scoldingly efficient - well - Nurse in the Singing Detective. She also appears (if I'm remembering right) in that movie you love to hate, Shakespeare in Love (starring none other than Gwyneth).

Okay - Imelda Staunton isn't the Nurse in the Zefirrelli film (that's Pat Heywood). But I did find out that her character's name in Shakespeare in Love is - Nurse!

I'm pretty sure her part is TINY - might not be worth it, if you hate it so much!
